The prestigious felicitation ceremony under the auspices of Her Highness Aswathi Thirunal Gowri Lakshmi Bayi of Travancore, recognizing exceptional contributions to science addressing critical challenges in human space exploration, was held at Visakhapatnam, Kerala Kala Samithi Hall, on 25-11-2024 evening 6.30 pm. Organised under the auspices of Kerala Kala Samithi Visakhapatnam (President Shri.A.R.G Unnithan) to honour Prof Dr Pradeep Kumar Radhakrishnan, Director Biomexia Health Care, Vizag, Vice Chairman Stem Cell Research Cardiac Surgery IC, Mentor World Innovation Hub - Kalam Institute of Health Technology, AMTZ, AP, India & Prof and Senior Consultant CTVS YANS Medical Institute, Trivandrum.

Recognition for Contributions to Space Medicine

This is in recognition of the work he has undertaken as a consultant to NASA Inspire Human Research Programme involving groundbreaking research on fluid dynamics in cardiovascular conditions experienced by astronauts through gas bubble and shock wave analysis in zero gravity, microgravity, and partial gravity environments.

He is the Consultant for AI prediction of decompression sickness and cardiovascular risks in EVA, Lunar and Martian missions under NASA's Human Research Program, in collaboration with Caltech and Stanford Universities (vide NASA Research Announcement NRA 80JSC024NA001-Flagship 2-2024 dated Sept 2024).

His work, especially during the last five years, has significantly advanced our understanding of space medicine and astronaut health. This recognises his exceptional contributions to cardiology in space science and his role in addressing critical challenges in human space exploration. The event celebrated his dedication to pushing the boundaries of medical research in unique and extreme environments.
